KITTENS

Brownie  ADOPTED

Breed:    Siamese Mix (medium hair)

Color:     Brown and Cream

Gender:  Neutered Male

DOB:       9/21/2011

This sweet baby is Brownie.  He was rescued from a feral cat colony in Raleigh. He is adjusting to life as an indoor cat quite well. He is still learning to trust humans but is showing interest in being held and petted. Brownie will need a "safe" place to go in his new home until he gets used to his new family.  Rest assured, once he is relaxes, the purrs begin.  He has not shown any aggressive behavior to his foster family but will utter an occasional hiss to remind them that he is still a bit shy. Brownie has discovered that he loves scrambled eggs and cream cheese. His foster family can always count on him coming around for those special treats! He would probably be comfortable in a home with other friendly cats because he has shown that he adores the other cats in his foster home.  He tolerates the dogs, as well, but isn't overly fond of them.  Brownie promises to become a great cat for someone willing to invest a bit of time in his socialization. Do you have room in your life for this little guy?  (BWh)

Fluff/Dolcetto ADOPTED

Breed:    Domestic Long Hair

Color:     Brown Tabby with White

Gender:  Neutered Male

DOB:       10/5/2011

My foster mom calls me Fluff, but my real name is Dolcetto. I have beautiful long hair, just like my sister, Puff.  I will require some daily bursting to maintain my beautiful fur coat. I was a stray kitten found outside a convalescent home in Johnston County. Now I'm living with my sister in a foster home. I'm a little shy, but very gentle and sweet. With some extra attention I will come out of my shell. I like to follow Puff wherever she goes and I do whatever she does (because she told me she is The Boss). Please consider adopting me and my sister together. (I really would be lost wiithout her but don't tell her that!) (TA)

Puff/Bordeaux ADOPTED

Breed:    Domestic Long Hair

Color:     Calico

Gender:  Spayed Female

DOB:       10/5/2011

My foster mommy calls me Puff for short; my real name is Bordeaux. As you can see, I'm BEAUTIFUL! I was born outside of a convalescent home in Johnston County. Paw Prints took me and my brother in until we can find the purrfect home. I like to play, eat and sleep with my brother, Fluff. We are still a little shy, but we enjoy being held and having our ears scratched. I don't know what my fur will be like as I grow, but for now, I require some daily brushing. (Something that I enjoy!) My foster mommy would like my brother and I to be adopted together, so if you're looking for a couple of puffballs like us, please fill out an application! (TA)

Friday

Breed:    Domestic Short Hair

Color:     Black

Gender:  Neutered Male

DOB:       7/20/2011

I'm a brave little boy!  I was so hungry I wandered up to the house of a Paw Prints volunteer and I stole food from the doggies that live there. I have since been to the vet and placed into a foster home with other kitties. I like to play hide-and-seek. When I am found, I allow my human to pick me up and cuddle me. My motor start going when I'm petted and scratched - especially under my chin and on my belly! I love the other kitties here in my foster home - my kitten pals play with me and the adults take care of me.  I like it when my foster Mommy gets the feather wand out and we compete to see who can jump the highest! I am still a little bit scared of doggies and loud noises but I am getting used to being in a real home. My foster Mommy says I just need a little time to get to know my new family and with a little patience, I will be a wonderful addition to your home. (BWh)

Hamilton (a/k/a Possum Puss)

Breed:    Domestic Short Hair

Color:     Black and White

Gender:  Neutered Male

DOB:       8/7/2011

My foster mom rescued me from a trailer park when I was barely five weeks old. Kids were keeping me in a broken crate in the woods and I surely would have died if I had not been rescued by Paw Prints. She gave me some canned food in the car on the way home and boy did I chow down! With my big eyes rimmed in pink, I looked a little like a possum at that age, so I got the nickname Possum Puss. I had fleas and parasites — boy, was I a mess! Then when I started to look human — I mean, “feline”— again, my eyes started to bother me. Turned out my lower eyelids were rolling in, so the lashes were rubbing on my eyeballs. But it didn’t slow me down a minute. After I had all my shots, I got to meet my foster mom’s six cats. They looked like me, only a lot bigger and, WOW, I had no idea how much fun I could have pouncing on them and chasing them up and down the hall. I got even better at it after I had surgery to correct my eyelids and I could see more clearly. There is no stopping me now! I am very sociable and curious. I have to be right in the middle of everything. I love playing but I also like to curl up in my foster mom’s lap or purr in her ear in the morning before the alarm goes off. I have not met any of those creatures they call “dogs,” but have a feeling I would like them, too. My official name is Hamilton, because I am such a ham and my foster mom thought I needed a more dignified name. But you can still call me Possum Puss. (CN)

Jefferson

Breed:    Domestic Short Hair

Color:     Orange Tabby

Gender:  Neutered Male

DOB:       ~7/8/2011

Sweet and mischievous, little Jefferson can be a little nervous in new situations. Once he is settled in, he is playful and often finds toys that his foster mommy thought were long gone. He is quite the explorer! Jefferson is happy with other cats and is totally in charge of his sister dogs. While he likes to be cuddled, he can is also have a streak of independence.  (BW)

Klein  ADOPTION PENDING

Breed:    Domestic Short Hair

Color:     Grey Tabby

Gender:  Neutered Male

DOB:       ~9/12/2011

My name is Klein.  I was pulled from a shelter along with my brother Calvin. (Get it Calvin/Klein :-)  My foster mommy gets a kick out of naming us unusual names.  I'm all about playing, and I mean playing, with anything!  My brother and I take turns jumping on the large cat that lives here and he does nothing to us. I love to eat and I will meow really loud if I see you bring out the cat treats.  I would love to be adopted with my brother, if possible.  After all we where trapped together, taken to animal 'jail' together and then rescued together.  So why not live a long and happy life together. My foster mommy says two kittens are better than one! (TA)

Maxwell  ADOPTION PENDING

Breed:    Domestic Long Hair

Color:     Black

Gender:  Neutered Male

DOB:      ~9/2/2011

Maxwell = Love! My foster mommy is so in love with me she cant stand it.  I follow her everywhere she goes and just look at her with my beautiful, green eyes. She can't help but pick me up and love on me.  ( I have her right under my thumb.)  I guess you can tell that I'm a lover with soft and gentle ways.  I also like to play with the other foster kittens and would love to be adopted with one of them.  So, if your looking for a lover boy, then I'm your man.  P.S.  If you adopt me, you can expect that my foster mommy will cry like a baby. But as long as I'm going to a good home, she will recover. (TA)

Maxwell Junior

Breed:    Domestic Short Hair

Color:     Orange Tabby

Gender:  Neutered Male

DOB:       ~7/22/2011

Maxwell Junior and his sister, Itty Bit, are two sweet siblings that were abandoned when they were tiny kittens. They were bottle fed and showered with love by Paw Prints volunteers until they were strong and healthy enough for their new home. Both love to be petted and will give you Eskimo kisses! Maxwell Junior is chatty and playful. He is learning not to jump up on people, but it's hard because he loves to jump up, straddle your belly and say "Hello!" He may even ride around on your shoulders if you let him. He has loved his feather boa toys since he was old enough to play. Whoever adopts either Maxwell Junior or Itty Bit will be lucky to have affectionate purr machines that love to play and be held! Will you consider adopting one or both of them? (RM)

Minnie

Breed:    Domestic Short Hair

Color:     Grey

Gender:  Spayed Female

DOB:       ~9/20/2011

Minnie was on her way back to the shelter she came from, all because her humans were splitting up and neither was willing to take her with them. A Paw Prints volunteer stepped in and she's now living in a foster home and doing very well. Minnie was raised for the first couple months of her life with a small dog and it took her about a week to get used to the other kittens in her foster home. We have to wonder if she knew she is a cat! She is very playful and likes to talk. Minnie deserves a lifetime home filled with love and commitment. Are the person or family willing to give her that? (TA)

Nutella

Breed:    Domestic Short Hair

Color:     Black (with white locket)

Gender:  Neutered Male

DOB:       ~10/5/2011

I am a super sweet little-man that was rescued from a local feral colony. My fur is plush as a bunny rabbit and I love to be petted and cuddled. I am a mellow, laid-back guy that wants nothing more than to sit in your lap or snuggle in your arms. I'm so happy when I'm snuggling that my motor goes crazy. Like my brother, Sterling, I can still be a little shy so I will need a home with no dogs or young children. Will you give me a home with a nice warm lap to snuggle in? (MS)

Omlette

Breed:    Domestic Medium Hair

Color:     White and Orange

Gender:  Neutered Male

DOB:       ~9/20/2011

Omlette has had a bit of a rough start in life. When he was only a few weeks old, he was spotted by a Paw Prints volunteer roaming around downtown Clayton, eating out of trash bins and dodging cars and other animals. When he was finally captured, he was found to have pneumonia and was severely anemic, dehydrated, thin and sunburned. Paw Prints was worried that the little guy wouldn't make it, but he has shown that he is a very strong kitty with a fighting spirit. Omlette has learned to trust humans and enjoy playing with the other kitties in his foster home. He has been exposed to dogs and tolerates them well enough but prefers the company of cats and humans. With every passing day, little Omlette gets stronger and more social. Are you the right person to help him come completely out of his shell? (BWh)

Oz  ADOPTED

Breed:    Domestic Medium Hair

Color:     Black (with white ear tufts)

Gender:  Neutered Male

DOB:       ~9/17/2011

The great and powerful Oz wanted us to think he was fierce but he's really a sweet boy inside who just wants love. He is starting to enjoy petting and playing and has a very loud purr. Pictured here with his BFF, Mr. Feather Toy. (LK)

Sterling

Breed:    Domestic Short Hair

Color:     Silver Tabby

Gender:  Neutered Male

DOB:       ~10/5/2011

I am a sweet kitten that was rescued from a local feral colony. I am super soft and my color, sterling silver, is absolutely gorgeous. I can be a little shy, but once you pet me and hold me tight, I start purring and warm right up. I will need someone who will be patient as I work on getting more comfortable trusting people and coming out of my shell. I have so much potential and I'm already so handsome and sweet! I would do best in a home without dogs and with older children. I get along great with other cats and kittens, like my brother Nutella. Why don't you come and see how handsome I am in person? (MS)

Tin Man

Breed:    Domestic Medium Hair

Color:     White

Gender:  Neutered Male

DOB:       ~9/17/2011

Little Tin Man is a shy boy that came into Paw Prints lacking confidence - but is getting better each day.  He is very handsome and grateful for the food, love and attention he has been receiving in his foster home. Tin Man is learning to play -- something he never learned to do before.  He will blossom in a loving, patient home.  (LK)

Toto

Breed:    Domestic Medium Hair

Color:     Black

Gender:  Neutered Male

DOB:       ~10/25/2011

Little Toto looks like his "brother", Oz, but we believe he is about a month younger. He loooooves other kitties and being petted.  He's also got quite a purr-box which he'd be happy to show off for you if you come to meet him! (LK)

Beanie

Breed:    Domestic Short Hair

Color:     Black and White

Gender:  Neutered Male

DOB:       3/2010

Adoption Fee:  $50

Beanie is a little different looking than his orange and white, long-haired brothers, Bernie and Bobby.  He is a little reserved until he gets to know you. However, once you scratch his back, he relaxes and declares you his true friend.  Beanie loves to play with toys as well as run and wrestle with his brothers. He gets along with cats and will probably do okay with older children.  He has not yet been around a dog. (JP)

Beau

Breed:    Domestic Short Hair

Color:     Black and White

Gender:  Neutered Male

DOB:       11/2010

Adoption Fee:  $50

Aren't I a handsome guy? My foster mom named me Beau because I am all dressed up and ready for a night on the town! I love attention, hugs and snuggles. I also love to roll over for a good old belly rub...but be careful because I still have the playful nature of a kitten and I just might "get" you! Despite my playfulness, I know how to play without hurting people. My foster home has dogs and other cats and I tolerate the other animals well enough but really prefer the company of humans. (BWh)

Bernie

Breed:    Domestic Long Hair

Color:     Orange and White

Gender:  Neutered Male

DOB:       3/2010

Bernie is very outgoing and sweet once he adjusts to a new environment. He loves to be petted but can get a little nervous when he is picked up. He settles down quickly when you rub his neck.  Bernie loves to play with his toy mice and run with his brothers, Beanie and Bobby. He gets along with other cats and will probably do okay with older children. He has not yet been around a dog.  (JP)

He gets along with other cats and will do well with older children. He has not yet been around a dog. (JP)

Boo Boo

Breed:    Domestic Short Hair

Color:     Orange and White

Gender:  Neutered Male

DOB:       ~3/2011

Adoption Fee:  $50

What a sweetheart! Boo Boo wandered into the carport of a Garner couple and helped himself to the goodies they put out for their outside cats. He stuck around and it became clear that he had no home to go back to. When picked up, he started purring and kneading. Clearly he was not a street cat! Boo Boo was brought in out of the cold and quickly warmed up to his new pad. He's gentle, funny, loving and just sooooo kissable. He hams it up for the camera, rolling around, stretching, posing and generally clowning around. He would love to be someone's main squeeze! (RM)

Butter Bean

Breed:    Domestic Long Hair

Color:     Orange and White

Gender:  Neutered Male

DOB:       2009

Adoption Fee:  $50

Mr. BB is very outgoing. He likes to get into everything. He's under the impression that everything needs his direct supervision! He's also very good with other cats and dogs. Butter Bean was found abandoned at a local apartment complex. He's very sweet and lovable and was obviously somebody's pet.  He is looking for a home that won't let him down again. (VM)

Carlos

Breed:    Domestic Short Hair

Color:     Brown Tabby

Gender:  Neutered Male

DOB:       6/2010

Adoption Fee:  $50

Carlos and Petals are siblings.  They are small and petite and can be slightly shy when first approached.  They are very bonded to each other but do not need to be adopted together.  In fact, they tend to be more outgoing when separated.  They are a little mischievous and love to play, play, play!  (BW)

ChaCha

Breed:    Domestic Short Hair

Color:     Black Smoke Tabby

Gender:  Spayed Female

DOB:       10/2006

Adoption Fee:  $50

ChaCha is a gorgeous, little plump dumpling of a kitty! Very easy going, sweet ChaCha gets along well with other cats. She has not been dog tested but is laid back enough that she should be able to handle a calm dog. She came from a hoarder situation and has blossomed (literally) in her foster home. ChaCha comes running for attention and she’s always willing to supervise her foster mommy during litter box clean up. She is a very loving girl who needs a lap of her own to call home. (RM)

Cheeto

Breed:    Domestic Long Hair

Color:     Orange Tabby

Gender:  Neutered Male

DOB:       7/2010

Adoption Fee:  $50

Cheeto is a very loving little boy. He is a little nervous initially in new environments but makes himself at home pretty quickly. He loves to get your attention by grabbing your shoes and untying the shoe laces! He came into Paw Prints when his foster mom agreed to assist a local church with some stray cats. Cheeto greeted her in the parking lot and introduced himself!  He loves people and loves to have the curly fur on his belly scratched. He has paws the size of baseball mitts (ok,,, not quite that big) and may continue to grow into them. Cheeto gets along with other cats but has not been around dogs. (JP)

Cisco

Breed:    Domestic Short Hair

Color:     Orange and White

Gender:  Neutered Male

DOB:       7/2010

Adoption Fee:  $50

Cisco decided that a life of camping and wilderness was not his style.  He wanted to wriggle his way into the care of his caretaker at a feral cat colony.  After a while, he learned the ropes of being a "kept" man.  He is now very friendly and affectionate though he still startles at loud noises.  He like the dogs and other cats and would make a great addition to most households.  (BW)

Cricket

Breed:    Domestic Short Hair

Color:     Black & White

Gender:  Spayed Female

DOB:       ~5/2009

Adoption Fee:  $50

SPECIAL NEEDS

Cricket's owners left her at a local shelter in January 2011. She sat in a cage there for four months until her foster Mom said "enough!" and arranged for her to come into Paw Prints.  The reason why she was so lucky is obvious when you meet her - she is very sweet and unassuming. Please consider making room in your home for little Cricket who has an awesome personality and is homeless through no fault of her own.  Cricket has been diagnosed with asthma which is currently being controlled with steroids (expected to be administered two times a year).  (LK)

Dimond

Breed:    Domestic Short Hair

Color:     White & Orange

Gender:  Spayed Female

DOB:       ~3/2011

Adoption Fee:  $50

Sweet Dimond's owner had to give her up due to severe financial hardship. She is outgoing, friendly and confident.  Dimond is also playful, active and a little mischievous. She is very agile and inquisitive - she wants to check out everything!  Do you have room in your home for this adorable, irresistible kitty? (LK)

Dixie

Breed:    Domestic Short Hair

Color:     Dilute Tortie

Gender:  Spayed Female

DOB:       5/30/2011

Adoption Fee: $50

Beautiful Dixie was rescued when the caretaker of her feral mother had to move out of state.  Her adjustment to indoor living has been a little slow - she can be a little cautious when first approached.  However, once you start petting her, she has a motor that won't quit!  A little patience may be required for this pretty, petite dilute tortie but she is worth it.  (BW)

Dottie

Breed:    Domestic Short Hair

Color:     Tabby and White

Gender:  Spayed Female

DOB:       3/2009

Adoption Fee: $50

DECLAWED

Sweet Dottie was adopted as a kitten and recently came back to Paw Prints because she could not bond with her owner.  She LOVES everybody else... except for him.  We believe it may stem from his decision to have her declawed. Dottie loves to be with you - period.  Her favorite place is square on your lap, and if there were a bed in her foster room, we'd bet on her being right there snuggling with you. Her photo doesn't show it but she's a petite girl so she fits on your lap perfectly. She is recovering from surgery now - when she came back, the tip of her tail was injured and the injured section needed to be removed. Dottie will be ready to go to her loving, forever home very soon!  (TC)

Faith

Breed:    Domestic Short Hair

Color:     Calico

Gender:  Spayed Female

DOB:       4/2009

Adoption Fee:  $50

My name is Faith and I love to play!  I love to chase both kitties and humans down the hall in my foster home, pretending to be rough and tough. I can stand just about anything!  I think hide-n-seek is the best game in the world! I'm also a very sweet kitty.  Speaking of sweats, if I small you cooking in the kitchen, I want to be there with you. I love rubbing up against your leg while you cook because you might just give me some of what you're cooking!  I'm a noise-making, attention-seeking, mouse-catching kind of kitty who loves lots of TLC.  I am tolerant of other animals - I live with dogs and cats in my foster home but would also be fine in a home by myself as long as I have plenty of love and attention from my humans. (BWh)

Fallon

Breed:    Domestic Short Hair

Color:     Black

Gender:  Spayed Female

DOB:       6/2010

Adoption Fee:  $50

Fallon was found as a kitten with her brother in a feral cat colony. It takes her a little time to get to know you but once she does, she is very loving and playful. Fallon's new home will need to give her time to settle in and get used to her new environment. She loves to be rubbed and held and gets along with children and other cats. She has not been around dogs. (SJ)

Gabe

Breed:    Domestic Short Hair

Color:     Black and White

Gender:  Neutered Male

DOB:       3/2011

Adoption Fee:  $50

Gabe came to Paw Prints after being abandoned when his family moved away. He is extremely friendly and laid back and gets along with humans and other kitties alike. (He does not appear to be afraid of dogs.)  He's very affectionate as well - he will sit in your lap, purr, make biscuits, and head butt for attention. Gabe would like a home where he can get lots of love, attention and kitty-leisure time! (LK)

Harley

Breed:    Domestic Short Hair

Color:     Tortie

Gender:  Spayed Female

DOB:       9/2008

Adoption Fee:  $50

I was found wandering around rural Johnston County very hungry. I am not sure how long I was on my own but I was so happy to see the Paw Prints volunteer!  Now that I have seen a vet and have plenty of food and water, I am gaining weight and I am going to be just fine. Despite my ordeal, I still trust humans and enjoy a good scratch under the chin. I love to just lay on a soft bed in the sunlight and cuddle with my humans. I tolerate the other cats in my foster home but I am a little scared of the dogs who live here. My foster Mom thinks that I will learn to tolerate the dogs too in time because I am not aggressive, just scared!  My Foster Mom calls me "Harley" because she says my black and orange markings remind her of the Harley Davidson logo. I would love to have a forever home with you! (BWh)

Hootie

Breed:    Domestic Short Hair

Color:     Black

Gender:  Neutered Male

DOB:       7/2010

Adoption Fee:  $50

Like his sister, Lindi, Hootie loves to be rubbed and talked to. He will stare at you with his big, round eyes and give you a little meow if he feels you are not giving him the attention he deserves!  As a kitten, his eyes were so large that his foster mom decided to call him Hootie, like an owl.  He loves to wrestle with his sister and climb on his cat tree. He has also decided that he likes to have his picture taken and will strike a pose when needed. Hootie does well with other cats and will probably do well with older children.  He has not yet been around a dog. (JP)

Jiminy

Breed:    Domestic Short Hair

Color:     Black and White

Gender:  Neutered Male

DOB:       9/2003

Adoption Fee:  $50

I’m Potter’s best friend and cousin. We were rescued, raised and adopted together, and have lived together our entire lives. We’re very bonded to each other, so we hope you’ll consider adopting both of us!  I’m a little shy at first, but crave love and attention and will bond closely with a person who’s patient with me while I learn to trust them. When I want attention, I come to my foster mom and gently paw at her arm to let her know . . .  she finds that too cute to resist!  Potter and I would love to snuggle up next to you on the sofa and be scratched while you watch TV.  We get along with other cats and would do OK with older children, but no dogs please. (PM)

Kallie

Breed:    Domestic Short Hair

Color:     Calico

Gender:  Spayed Female

DOB:       ~9/2007

Adoption Fee:  $50

Kallie is a very sweet, lovable and curious  girl.  She may be a little reserved until she gets accustomed to her surroundings, A low- to mid-energy household would be the best home for Kallie although she likes other cats and children.  One thing's for sure, like most calicos, this girl knows how to work a camera!!  (SJ)

Lady Luck

Breed:    Domestic Short Hair

Color:     Tortie

Gender:  Spayed Female

DOB:       4/2010

Adoption Fee:  $50

Lady Luck is one of Lucky 32s very lucky kittens!  She loves to play and snuggle with her sister, Casino. She is a little more reserved than her sister and would do well in a calmer home.  She can be quite talkative at times and probably would do best with another feline companion in the house.  (LK)

Lilly

Breed:    Domestic Long Hair (shaved in this photo)

Color:     Tortie

Gender:  Spayed Female

DOB:       8/2007

Adoption Fee:  $50

Lilly is a real sweetheart! She may be a little reserved until she gets to know you but quickly turns into a love bug.  She likes to play with her toys and loves to chase a laser. Lilly requires regular brushing and maybe the occasional trim to keep her thick, long fur fluffy and free of mats. She gets along great with other cats but doesn't care for dogs. Lilly is looking for a home that can give her lots of love and attention which she will return many times over. (SJ)

Lindi

Breed:    Domestic Short Hair

Color:     Tortie

Gender:  Spayed Female

DOB:       7/2010

Adoption Fee:  $50

Lindi is a real sweetheart! She loves to be rubbed and talked to.  She will roll around and look extra cute just to get your attention. She enjoys playing with cat toys and running around with her brother, Hootie.  Lindi and her brother were found living in a managed feral cat colony when they were young.  She gets along with other cats and will probably do well with older children.  She has not yet been around a dog.  (JP)

Luna

Breed:    Domestic Short Hair

Color:     Grey Tabby

Gender:  Spayed Female

DOB:      ~2/1/2011

Adoption Fee: $50

Luna is very sweet. When you walk by her, she will reach out playfully, roll on her back and try to entice you into playing. Sometimes Luna is an active juvenile wanting to run around and play with her toys.  At other times, she is a picture of serenity, and will lie still while you brush or stroke her fur. She is a combination of great traits! (TL)

Marley

Breed:    Domestic Long Hair

Color:     Black and White

Gender:  Spayed Female

DOB:       ~3/2008

Adoption Fee:  $50

Marley was found by a Paw Prints volunteer wandering near NCSU hungry and scared.  As a result, it took her a few months to de-stress and settle into her foster home.  Marley would be great as an only cat although she is doing quite well hanging out with the adolescent kittens in her foster room.  She can be a bit of a diva at times but often seeks out her foster mom’s attention for one-on-one time.  Marley has not been exposed to dogs, so we don’t know how she would do with them. (VM)

Meg

She likes to play with her kitty toys and overall has a very easy- going personality.  Meg likes children but doesn't care much for dogs. (JP)

Paris  ADOPTED

Breed:    Domestic Short Hair

Color:     Tabby and White

Gender:  Spayed Female

DOB:       10/2005

Adoption Fee:  $50

Poor Paris had a home for over four years when her family suddenly decided they weren't "cat people" and returned her to Paw Prints.  It wasn't that there was anything wrong with her - they just preferred dogs.  She was scared and confused at first but has since settled into her foster home.  Paris has the most gorgeous, big eyes with black eyeliner! (She was named after Paris Hilton as a kitten.)  The most adorable thing she does is sit next to you and tilt her head 90º and come in for several head butts.  She is very low maintenance and just needs a sunny window and loads of love.  She would do best as an only cat or with other submissive personalities because aggressive cats tend to bully her.  (TC)

Pertie

Breed:    Domestic Long Hair

Color:     Dilute Calico

Gender:  Spayed Female

DOB:       ~5/2009

Adoption Fee:  $50

Pertie is a long-haired beauty with a poofy tail.  She was found living in a feral cat colony but she is far from feral!  She likes to love on humans on her own terms.  She's not shy but when she's done with the lovin', she's done.  She's not terribly impressed with small children but will tolerate them in small doses.  Do you have a sunny window where Pertie can spend her days?  (SJ)

Porsche

Breed:    Domestic Short Hair

Color:     Tortie

Gender:  Spayed Female

DOB:       4/2011

Adoption Fee:  $50

I am an adorable, affectionate girl. I love my toys, snuggly bed and peek-a-boo tent. Mostly I love people and treats. I am good with other cats and don't mind dogs once I get used to them. My only issue is that I am very picky about my litter box. My foster mom says that I need a large, covered box.  Do you have room in your heart and home for me and my box?? (LK)

Potter

Breed:    Domestic Short Hair

Color:     Black

Gender:  Neutered Male

DOB:       4/2003

Adoption Fee:  $50

I‘m a handsome guy with a heart of gold to share with the right person. Though I’m a bit shy at first, I crave love and attention and will become your best friend over time.  I was rescued and raised with my cousin, Jiminy, and we were later adopted and lived together for four years.  We’re very bonded to each other and would be so happy to be able to stay together.  We hope you’ll consider adopting both of us!  We’d love to snuggle up next to you on the sofa to be scratched while you watch TV.  We get along with other cats and would do OK with older children, but no dogs please. (PM)

Potter

Breed:    Domestic Short Hair

Color:     Orange and White

Gender:  Neutered Male

DOB:       4/2010

Adoption Fee:  $50

Riley

Breed:    Domestic Medium Hair

Color:     Orange and White

Gender:  Neutered Male

DOB:       10/2004

Adoption Fee:  $50

Riley is a beautiful cat that lost his home of 6 years through no fault of his own. The newly acquired family pets did not like him and he was the one who had to go. He loves nothing more than to be in your lap and be brushed.  Riley is very affectionate to his humans and also loves to rub on other kitties who are as laid back as he is. He would get along great with a smaller, cat-friendly dog, as long as it doesn’t like to chase him. He can be a little apprehensive in new situations, so a family without small children would be best for him.  He still has a lot of kitten in him and loves to chase cat toys and play on his cat pole. Riley is just a big, laid back guy, full of love and looking for a second chance at a forever home. (KD)

Rome

Breed:    Domestic Short Hair

Color:     Black and White

Gender:  Spayed Female

DOB:       ~8/2009

Adoption Fee:  $50

Rome was abandoned at an apartment complex where she was abused by kids and locked in a closet. Someone contacted a Paw Prints volunteer who rescued her. Rome was so traumatized that she would not let any person or cat come near her for weeks. After much patience and work, her foster Mom slowly gained her trust and Rome has blossomed into an exceptionally loving and affectionate cat. Her favorite thing to do is sit on foster Mom's lap and give kisses. She can get along with other pets (cats and dogs) but prefers to be the center of attention. Due to her background of abuse, Rome has deep rooted fears. She does not like children. She has done particularly well with adult females. Her ideal home would be a safe, quiet adult home and preferably the only cat. She will return love tenfold to the right person.  (LK)

Sabrina

Breed:    Domestic Short Hair

Color:     Tortie

Gender:  Spayed Female

DOB:       6/2010

Adoption Fee: $50

I am Salem's sister, Sabrina.  He seems to think he is royalty... I am not at all impressed with him!  I know I am the special one! Just look at my beautiful coat and my sweet eyes.  My fur is like silk and I really love for my humans to stroke me and give me attention.  I am a bit shy, loud noises and people grabbing at me scare me, so I will need a "safe place" to go in your home until I get used to you (like under a bed or in a kitty condo).  I come out to see my foster Mom every day and greet her with lots of finger kisses and purrs!  I am afraid of dogs because they are big and loud, but I like other kitties.  I make friends quickly, but I should probably be in a home with older children who will understand my shyness and not try to force me out of my "safe place' before I am ready.  My photo shows me outside in the grass but I am an indoor kitty now.  (BWh)

Sadie

Breed:    Domestic Short Hair

Color:     Brown Tabby

Gender:  Spayed Female

DOB:       3/2010

Adoption Fee:  $50

SPECIAL NEEDS

Sadie is a very adorable little lady!  Her baby face and big, bright eyes will brighten your entire day.  She loves to climb into your lap to snuggle and take little kitty naps.  You won't be able to stop petting her - she's soooo soft.  Sadie has tested FIV+ and needs a home where she will be an only kitty or where there are only FIV+ kitty companions.  She gets along well with other cats and is fine with dogs.  Sadie deserves a lifelong, loving family that will return all of the love she gives so freely.  You will adore everything about her!  (JM)

Savannah

Breed:    Domestic Short Hair

Color:     Grey Tabby

Gender:  Spayed Female

DOB:       2009

Adoption Fee:  $50

Savannah and her kitten, Susie, were left behind when their owners lost their home and moved away.  Both survived outside with the care and love of a neighbor who fed them and cared for them until she could find a rescue for both.  Savannah a is very demure and engaging girl. She would love nothing more than to find a sunny window or a warm lap in a  forever home. (LK)

Sebastian

Breed:    Domestic Short Hair

Color:     Black

Gender:  Neutered Male

DOB:       4/30/2011

Adoption Fee: $50

My name is Sebastian.  I was found in the same place where Ariel was found but I am not her biological brother.  I am a bit younger.  I am a sweet boy who likes to sleep in the bed with my humans.  I have never met a person or animal I do not like. I will play with just about anything I find interesting (including the dog's tail!)  I have a sleek black coat and big green eyes.  When I get tired, I relax by kneading and "fake nursing" on my foster mom. (She says it's like getting tiny kitten kisses.)  I would love to be a part of your family! (BWh)

Silky

Breed:    Domestic Long Hair

Color:     Grey

Gender:  Spayed Female

DOB:       ~9/2009

Adoption Fee: $50

Beautiful Silky was found in living in neighborhood near the Cary High School. She was on her own for several months and an NCSU student was putting food out for her. It appeared that she had been abandoned by her family. Silky is just that, silky and striking. She's very sweet one-on-one and is adjusting (slowly) to her multiple cat foster home. She doesn't appear to be overly spooked by dogs. Silky loves looking out a window, probably because she was outside for months. She needs a safe, warm home where she can get all the love and attention she deserves. (RM)

Skylar

Breed:    Domestic Short Hair

Color:     Black and White

Gender:  Spayed Female

DOB:       ~4/28/2011

Adoption Fee: $50

Sweetie-pie Skylar was found by a Paw Prints volunteer in a taped-up cardboard box with her mother and four siblings.  She is the most reserved kitten in the litter and will need some extra TLC and lovin' to continue to blossom into a confident, outgoing kitty.  (LK)

Sugar Man  ADOPTED

Breed:    Siamese Mix

Color:     Flame Point (with blue eyes)

Gender:  Neutered Male

DOB:       2010

Adoption Fee:  Waived (I am fully sponsored)

SPECIAL NEEDS

I was rescued as a stray at a feral colony, but had to have been someone’s pet because I am so affectionate and love attention! Unfortunately I contracted FIV, the Feline Immunodeficiency Virus, when I was outside, which is transmitted through cat bites. Therefore, I would need to be an only cat or be in a house with other FIV positive cats. I also love dogs, and would do great in a house with fun, playful dogs. I am also very gentle around kids and love getting attention from them! My virus can be managed with a very cheap antiviral medication and I can still live a pretty long life as long as I get regular veterinary care. I have so much love to give and am so playful and energetic. I still act like a kitten! You wouldn’t even know I’m FIV+ because I let nothing slow me down. I love to give kisses, hence my name- Sugar Man. Also, my adoption fee has been sponsored since I have special medical needs, so that I have an even better opportunity of finding a wonderful home. (MS)

Taja

Breed:    Domestic Short Hair

Color:     Tortie

Gender:  Spayed Female

DOB:       5/2010

Adoption Fee:  $50

Taja is an exotic little temptress with an inquisitive nature. She's always in the mood to give and receive affection and she's very playful, too!  Taja gets along with other cats; she has not been dog-tested but would most likely be fine with a calm dog.   (VM)

Tali

Breed:    Domestic Short Hair

Color:     Black and White

Gender:  Spayed Female

DOB:       5/2010

Adoption Fee:  $50

Beautiful Tali is a  very relaxed and laid-back girl. Gentle and easy going, she gets along great with other kitties. Unfortunately, Tali lost her home in a divorce and is looking for a new home to call her own for keeps.  (RM)

Tipper

Breed:    Domestic Short Hair

Color:     Dilute Tortie

Gender:  Spayed Female

DOB:       5/2010

Adoption Fee:  $50

Tipper is a little more reserved than her sister Taja.  One good word to describe her is "gentle".  However, she does know how to "speak" up when seeking attention! Tipper gets along with other cats; she has not been dog-tested but would most likely be fine with a calm dog. (VM)

Toby (Toblerone)  ADOPTED

Breed:    Domestic Short Hair

Color:     Black with white necklace

Gender:  Neutered Male

DOB:       3/13/2011

Adoption Fee:  $50

My siblings and I were rescued around eight weeks old and socialized because my mom was a feral cat. My siblings have all been adopted so I’m lonely on my own. I am such a sweet, gentle kitten, but I also know how to let loose and have a good time. I am very affectionate and love sitting on shoulders and cuddling, but I also know how to zoom around the room and have a great time with my toys. I am just a great all-around guy. I get along well with other cats and also like my foster mom’s gentle beagle, so I would probably get along well with other gentle dogs. Did I mention that I’m also great with kids? Won’t you take me home today? (MS)

Trooper  ADOPTED

Breed:    Domestic Short Hair

Color:     Grey Tabby

Gender:  Neutered Male

DOB:       4/2007

Adoption Fee:  $50

DECLAWED

Trooper was surrendered to Paw Prints because his former family was adopting a newborn baby with health issues. Trooper is a declawed, lovable 14 1/2 pound teddy bear of a cat. He is very mellow and likes to "talk" to his people. He is used to children and small dogs but can stress a little around other cats. He doesn't mind baths and loves to be brushed. Trooper also loves a catnip mouse. He likes to take them to his kitty bed and lay on them when he is not tossing them around. If you like big kitties, then Trooper is definitely the cat for you! (BWh)

Virginia

Breed:    Domestic Short Hair

Color:     White with Tabby Markings

Gender:  Spayed Female

DOB:       ~2007

Adoption Fee:  $50

This Rubenesque beauty was rescued from a vacant lot next to a Cracker Barrel in Virginia.  She was so skinny at the time she looked like a teenage kitten.  All she needed was some TLC and quality food to live up to her "full" potential!  The Paw Prints volunteers who found her were worried about the long trip home because they didn't have a pet carrier with them.  Not to worry - Virginia just hopped into the car, sat down in the back seat and looked up and smiled! (Well,,, the equivalent of a cat smile.)  She is sweet and loving and very low maintenance.  She gets along great with other cats and should do well in a home with children and dogs. (TC)

Veronica

Breed:    Domestic Short Hair

Color:     Calico

Gender:  Spayed Female

DOB:       2007

Adoption Fee:  $50

I am told by my foster mommy that I am the most beautiful, softest kitty on Earth. I really don't know what that means but it sounds special!  I am a sweet, gentle girl with very simple needs.  Some petting, the occasion treat, a sunny spot to take a nap.  Can you give me any of these?  (TC)
