Annabelle

Annabelle isn't too fond of other cats and has disdain for dogs; she would prefer to be an only cat.  She's not too impressed by store-bought toys but thinks wadded paper for soccer is pretty fun.  She loves to cuddle and sit on your shoulder.  She's an instant purr kitty!  (BW)

 

Beethoven

Very laid back cat. Can dress to suit the occasion but prefers to go bare at home. Gets along with other cats and dogs. Likes to sleep foster mom (PJs optional).  (SV)

 

Blossom  ADOPTED!

Declawed

Blossom is a beautiful girl.  She's got the presence of a Maine Coon.  She's very good with children.  She was given up by her family because of a serious premature new baby situation.  She will make a wonderful addition to a loving home!! (RM)

 

 

Clara Bell

Clara Bell has beautiful markings.  She is believed to be the sister of Harriett.  Both are a little timid but melt like butter when touched.  Clara Bell loves to come and sit next to you when you watch TV.  She would do well with other cats in a household that is not too active.  She is very sweet-natured.  (JP) 

 

Cassie

Breed:  Domestic Short Hair

DOB:  ~3/2005

Cassie is a little more shy than sister, Midori.  Both Cassie and Midori were rescued from a colony near Wake Med when they were kittens.  Cassie’s picture doesn’t really show that she is a medium hair cat with a long fluffy tail.  She will require a little brushing to keep her mat-free, shiny and beautiful.  Once she gets comfortable with you, Cassie loves to cuddle. Chance  ADOPTED!

Chance was found on the side of the road with in Durham with his buddy, Miracle.  He had been attacked by an animal and lost
his left eye as a consequence.  He's good with other cats, children and holds his own with dogs.  He is very social and loving.  He loves, loves, loves his scratching post and catnip!!  He would make a good companion for Miracle but it's not necessary for them to be adopted together.  (LK)

 

Coda

Breed:  Domestic Short Hair

Color:  Classic Brown Tabby

Gender:  Female (Spayed)

DOB:  8/2004

Coda is a striking cat with a wonderful personality.  She loves everyone she meets and is exceptionally playful.  She gets along well with other cats and with gentle children and is very easy to please, purring the moment you pick her up and cuddle her.   Coda should not be adopted into a home with dogs.  At 3 months of age, just prior to being rescued for adoption, she was traumatized and her tail severely injured by a neighbor's dog.  Now she has a cute little "half-tail" that looks like a tiny exclamation point. Cookie

Cookie is very affectionate - she will roll around on the bed begging for attention.  She loves to be brushed, rubbed, scrubbed and nuzzled.  She is good with other cats and should be fine with children and dogs.  She's a wonderful little girl -- sweet as a 'cookie'.  (RM)

 

Dagney  ADOPTED!

Gender:  Female (Spayed)

DOB:  ~8/2007

Gorgeous Dagney - with her odd colored eyes - is LOVE STARVED! She is very eager to love on her foster family at all times.  She loves to be petted and purrs like a motor.  She mother is deaf, and it's possible that she may also be deaf or partially deaf. (LK)

 

Daisy Mae

Breed:  Domestic Long Hair

Color:  Grey and White

Gender:  Female (Spayed)

DOB:  ~4/2002

Daisy Mae is very beautiful in both appearance and personality. She has tested positive for FIV (feline immunosuppressive virus) and so needs to be the only kitty in your household.  [Click Here for more information about cats with FIV.]  Despite her FIV status, Daisy is currently very healthy (she had normal blood values when last tested).  She is very loving and adores being brushed and pampered.  She would like to share her life with a human who doesn't mind being owned by an exceptionally affectionate, demonstrative feline companion. Dharman

DOB:  ~9/1/06

Dharman is a little character who started out in a line of cats at Operation Catnip. He was neutered and vaccinated and ear cropped before they realized he was not a feral cat. Dharman is a lover - playful, affectionate, attention seeking. Dharman will follow his foster mom around until she scoops him up and gives him lots of scrubbing and rubbing. Dharman gets along well with other cats as well. (RM)

 

Dynasty

Color:  Orange Tabby

Gender:  Male (Neutered)

DOB:  ~3/2007

Dynasty is a lion!  He is a large, majestic, handsome young adult male who want to be king. Very outgoing, wants attention. He loves
to play rough with toys and the other kitties and teases the dog. He would do best in a home that could handle his larger-than-life personality. (LK)

 

Georgia

Color:  Buff/Peach

Gender:  Female (Spayed)

DOB:  ~2004-2005

Tracey Leigh and Georgia were both rescued from Creedmoor where a neighbor was trying to practice "animal control" with a shotgun.  These lucky little girls are gentle, friendly, healthy, affectionate and very beautiful!! (PM)

 

Gerri  

Breed:  Domestic Short Hair

Color:  Gray & White

Gender:  Female (Spayed)

DOB:  ~ 2/28/07

Gerri was rescued from the Wake County Animal Shelter when she was 4 weeks old.  She and her sister were huddled together and literally scared to death. They were brought to their foster home where they were successfully treated for upper respiratory infection. Gerri's sister was adopted and now she is looking for her forever home. She is extremely outgoing and playful. She gets along well with other cats and enjoys gazing out her window in the cat room. (RM)

 

Gigi and Sassy

Color:  Dilute Tortie

Gender:  Female (Spayed)

DOB:  ~10/2003

Like twins???  We used to live in a feral colony in Garner and we were soooo friendly that we would oftentimes trip the volunteers when they were feeding us by trying to rub on their legs.  We're still a little shy at adoption events but we're real lovers in our foster home.  We are very close and would like to be adopted together.

 

Grier

Color:  Torbie (Tabby and Tortie)

Gender:  Female (spayed)

DOB:  ~ 3/30/06

Grier is a real sweetie. If she thinks there is even a remote possibility that you are getting ready to rub her, she will arch her back in anticipation. She will also ask you politely for attention if she feels she is being ignored. She likes to be held and loved on and loves to play with her furry toy mouse. (JP)

 

 

Harriett

Harriett is believed to be the sister of Clara Bell.  Both are a little timid but melt like butter when touched.  Harriett will arch her back to the sky when you give her a back scratch..  She would do well with other cats in a household that is not too active.  She is very sweet-natured.  (JP) 

 

 

Hobbes

I'm King of The World!!!  OK,,, maybe just King of the Foster Room.  I was found hanging around a feral colony in Durham, but if you knew me, you would see that I'm a lover and not at all feral.  In fact, I'm a gentle, loving boy that enjoys attention from humans and gives plenty of kisses in return.  I get along with the other cats in my Foster Room and together, we all love looking out the window at birds and squirrels.   I will fit into any environment with other cats and calm canines. Homer

Gender:  Male (Neutered)

DOB:  ~3/2003

Homer is sleek, robust, handsome neutered tuxedo male. He has a big purr and a big heart that match his equally big frame (13 pounds!!).  Homer needs to be the only kitty in your home because he tests faintly positive for FIV (feline immunosuppressive virus).  [Click Here for more information about cats with FIV.]  He is currently very healthy and active and needs a home with lots of space for him to run around in!  If you're looking for a big sweet loving ex-tom cat type, Homer is your boy! Libby

Libby is very affectionate and loves to be petted.  She looks to her brother, Sammy, for confidence. She was very sad because she didn't understand why her pet owner gave her away. She is adjusting to her new environment now - she will need an understanding new owner.  It would be nice if they could be re-homed together but not mandatory.  (LK)

 

Little Sis

Little Sis was pulled from a colony of cats in Garner. She is very playful, she loves to roll over and stretch for attention. She enjoys lying in the sunshine coming into her cat room and watching all the activity outside her window. She gets along with other cats and probably would do well with a calm dog. Little Sis is looking for her permanent family.  (RM)

 

Luella

Color:  Black

Gender:  Female (Spayed)

DOB:  ~10/2007

Luella and Rhett are siblings.  Luella is more outgoing and vocal than her brother but Rhett is a big love bug once he gets to know you.  Both are very good-natured and inquisitive kittens and will do well with children, calm dogs and other cats.  We would love for them to find their forever home together, if possible, as they are very attached to each other.  (JP)

 

Mattie

Mattie -- a/k/a Super Momma -- was left behind by her owners when they moved away.  She was left with 2 adolescent kittens from her first litter and 4 three-week old kittens from her second litter.  She takes no grief from anyone!!  Mattie is sweet and affectionate but does not care to be bothered when she is "meditating".  She is certainly deserving of a forever home of her own!  (BW)

 

Molly Belle

I am a petite little girl. I am a very sweet girl who can be a little shy at first but I will warm up quickly once I figure out my surroundings are fun and safe for me.  I love to play with other cats and I like dogs but it takes me a bit longer to warm up to new dogs.  I enjoy sitting in my Foster Mom's lap to watch TV or take a nap.  I would love to have a family where I will have a warm lap to sleep in.  I am definitely a lap cat!  I also love to scratch and climb on my cat condo and chase my toys around the house when it's play time.  

 

Miracle  ADOPTED!

Miracle was found on the side of the road with in Durham with her buddy, Chance.  She's good with other cats, children and holds her own with dogs.  She is very social and loving.  When she came into the program, she was shy for about two days and then warmed up to be a total love bug!  She's a smart kitty and knows a good thing when she sees it!!  (LK)

 

Moonshine  ADOPTED!

Breed:  Siamese Mix

Color:  Cream

Gender:  Female (spayed)

DOB: ~11/2007

Moonshine is a stunning Siamese mix.  She is big for her age - the vet estimates that she is only 5 months old.  She is extremely affectionate and vocal (the Siamese in her).  She has short, cream colored fur on
her body, chocolate points and a fluffy tail. Very unique looking!! Moonshine likes children and would make a great pet in just about any home!  (LK)

 

Neve

Breed:  Domestic Short Hair

Color:  White

Gender:  Female (spayed)

DOB: ~3/2006

Neve was found in a colony of feral cats in Durham.  She is somewhat shy but definitely not feral!  Her name means "snow" in Portuguese. She is sweet and loves attention.  She gets along well with other cats and loves sitting in front of her foster room window with the breezes coming in while watching the birds and squirrels outside.  (RM)

 

Oreo  ADOPTED!

Breed:  Domestic Short Hair

Color:  Gray and White

Gender:  Female (spayed)

DOB: 10/2007

Oreo was adopted at four months old but had to be returned after approximately a month because she was being bullied by the existing household cat.  She re-adjusted very well to her foster home (with new kitty occupants) as well as the dogs and kids that come with it!!  She has proven to be a kitty that can adjust to most situations.  She's very cute, playful and very spunky.  (LK)

 

Oswald  ADOPTED!

Gender:  Male (neutered)

DOB: ~10/2006

Oswald's favorite activities are basking in the sun, sleeping and eating. Interests include soft beds, blankets and food.  Good all around guy, gets along with all species as long as his favorite activities are not interrupted. This is one low maintenance cat. Happily traded in his former life on the streets for one of leisure. (LK)

 

Petra

Petra, named after the model Petra Nemcova, is a natural beauty too. She is a bit shy, but engaging. She needs someone who can spend time with her bonding and drawing her out. She gets along well with other cats and enjoys lying on her bed and watching the National Geographic channel. (RM)

 

Petunia  ADOPTED!

Color:  Torbie (tabby and tortie)

Gender:  Female (spayed)

DOB:  ~ 4/6/06

Petunia is a butterball of beautiful colors and loaded with personality. She has very usual multicolored, medium length hair and seems to know that she is gorgeous. Her previous adopter had her declawed, so she looks like she has on her fuzzy bedroom slippers on the front. She was returned to Paw Prints because her adopter decided he did not want a pet after all, but did say that Petunia is a wonderful cat. (JP)

 

Rhett

Sammy is a large, handsome kitty!  He is outgoing, affectionate and loves to be petted.  Definitely a low-key, low-maintenance guy!  His favorite thing is his new scratching post.  He was rescued with Libby after their owner abandoned them.  It would be nice if they could be re-homed together but not mandatory.  (LK)

My foster Mommy and Daddy love me to pieces but would really like me to have my own home where I can get all the lovin' I want and then some!  I was pulled from a feral cat colony as a small kitten along with my sister.  I just rolled over and let the lady who took my picture rub my soft belly.  See,,, I can give loving just as good as I can receive it!  (BW)

 

Veronica
