Alice   ADOPTED

Breed:    Domestic Short Hair

Color:     Grey Tabby

Gender:  Spayed Female

DOB:      ~6/3/2010

They say good things come in small packages (they are right!).  I am Alice and I am the smallest in my litter.  I am a sweet little girl and I love my human foster family and welcome their pats, hugs and cuddles!  I don't let my brothers Mandarin and Jasper or my big sister Shady push me around too much.  I would like to rule the roost (but I know I don't...yet)  I like to try to push the big cats who live here around, and they indulge me for the most part but I get put in my place more often than not!  I am really sweet and my favorite playmate is my twin brother Jasper.  I love to climb the big cat tree and wait for someone to come along and give me attention.  I am healthy and used to other cats, dogs and children.  Is there a place in your family for me? (CW)

Autry

Breed:    Domestic Short Hair

Color:     Tabby and White

Gender:  Neutered Male

DOB:      ~2005-2006

Autry touches your heart as soon as you see him in his cage.  Brought in as a neutered stray, he is just a big, shy sweetheart.  It is a mystery where he came from, how he has been living his life, and who has loved him. His web pictures show how frightened he is to have lost his freedom. But he is relaxed when held, and when you talk sweet talk to him, he quietly responds by "making biscuits" on his bedding to let you know he likes it. Autry has beautiful brown tabby coloring and a big handsome face that reminds you of a cougar. He appears to be a little older and would be a perfect, calm companion for a senior citizen, or for anyone! (LK)

Bahama

Breed:    Domestic Short Hair

Color:     Brown Tabby

Gender:  Spayed Female

DOB:      ~2008-2009

Bahama was brought to a rural shelter where she gave birth to three adorable kittens. She was such a great momma that her chubby kittens have all found their forever homes. Now she deserves a forever home of her own. Bahama is a very curious and affectionate cat and this photo does not do her beauty justice! She gets along with the other cats though she tends to want to be the top female.  Bahama would also do well with a cat-friendly dog.  (LK)

Benji

Breed:    Domestic Short Hair

Color:     Light Orange Tabby

Gender:  Neutered Male

DOB:      ~6/2009

Benji is sweet, affectionate and laid-back.  He is a well-behaved kitty -- always using the sisal scratching post in his foster home.  Benji has been known to pick up furry mice in his mouth and fling them high in the air!  He's good with other cats and most dogs and would be a nice fit for average- to low-activity households. (RM)

Bermuda

Breed:    Domestic Short Hair

Color:     Black and White

Gender:  Spayed Female

DOB:      ~3/2009

After spending months in a county shelter, sweet Bermuda is starting to remember what it's like to feel sunshine on her fur and breathe fresh air (in the safety of her foster home).  She doesn't have a lot of needs and mostly just wants a safe and loving home to call her own.  She would make a delightful addition to most households. (LK)

Beanie

Breed:    Domestic Short Hair

Color:     Black and White

Gender:  Neutered Male

DOB:      3/22/2010

Beanie is a real cutie!  Although a tad shy on first approach, he purrs up a storm when scrubbed, rubbed and loved.  Beanie is very playful, perky and inquisitive.  He gets along great with other cats and kittens and will have little problem adjusting to most households. (RM)

Bobby

Breed:    Domestic Medium Hair

Color:     Orange and White

Gender:  Neutered Male

DOB:      3/22/2010

Bobby very outgoing, loving and playful.  He loves attention from his foster mom, especially a good rub and scratch!  Bobby gets along very well with other cats and kittens and after a short adjustment period, will fit into most households.  (RM)

Cassie

Breed:    Domestic Medium Hair

Color:     Black

Gender:  Spayed Female

DOB:      4/2005

Cassie was rescued from a colony near Wake Med when she was a kitten.  Her picture doesn’t really show that she is a beautiful, medium hair cat with a long fluffy tail.  She will require a little brushing to keep her mat-free, shiny and beautiful.  Once she gets comfortable with you, Cassie loves to cuddle. (CM)

Cookie

Breed:    Domestic Short Hair

Color:     Black and White

Gender:  Spayed Female

DOB:      ~3/2004

Cookie is very affectionate - she will roll around on the bed begging for attention.  She loves to be brushed, rubbed, scrubbed and nuzzled.  She is good with other cats and should be fine with children and dogs.  She's a wonderful little girl -- sweet as a 'cookie'.  (RM)

Dolly

Breed:    Domestic Short Hair

Color:     Grey Tabby

Gender:  Spayed Female

DOB:      5/2007

All Dolly wants to do is be near you so that she can do a little "talking".  She is very sweet and likes to give a lot of love to her humans. Dolly gets along with most cats but is a little hesitant around active dogs.  She is accustomed to children and enjoys interacting with them.  She will make a loving, conversational addition to your household! (JP)

Dorsey

Breed:    Seal Point Siamese

Color:     Cream and Brown (with blue eyes)

Gender:  Neutered Male

DOB:      ~2008

Before coming to Paw Prints, Dorsey was surrendered to a local shelter due to owner allergies.  Siamese are known for being "high-strung" and Dorsey is no exception. He gets stressed easily, has a weak stomach and will sometimes lash out. He needs a person who is familiar with the breed and can accept his "attitude."  It's not all bad as he has many moments when he is very loving and playful.  He appears to get along better with dogs than other cats, and his original owner let him outdoors so he still wants to go outside.  Is there a special home out there for Dorsey? (LK)

Duncan

Breed:    Domestic Short Hair

Color:     Brown Tabby

Gender:  Neutered Male

DOB:      4/2007

Duncan is a very social cat.  He loves attention and he is very curious.  When you pull out a feather on a stick toy, he shifts into Super Cat drive and he’s ready to play!  He also enjoys chasing the laser pointer with his brother, Edmond. (JP)

Echo

Breed:    Domestic Short Hair

Color:     Black with White Bib

Gender:  Neutered Male

DOB:      2/1/2008

Echo is Slater's brother.  They are both very sweet, playful and inquisitive -- 100% romping and playful boys!  They both get along great with other cats and dogs.  Echo and Slater do not need to be adopted together and both would make a wonderful addition to most homes.  (RM)

Edmond

Breed:    Domestic Short Hair

Color:     Black and White

Gender:  Neutered Male

DOB:      4/2007

Edmond is very laid back. He may be a little shy at first, but will be playful and loving once he gets comfortable with his surroundings.  He enjoys to playing with his turbo scratcher cat toy and is a Jedi Laser Pointer Chaser like his brother, Duncan.  (JP)

Elle

Breed:    Persian Mix

Color:     Light Brown and Cream

Gender:  Spayed Female

DOB:      2008

DECLAWED

Elle and Rocco came to Paw Prints after their owner became very ill and unable to care for them.  Elle is the shier of the two but once she warms up to you, she is a doll. She has been around other cats and small dogs but might be more outgoing in a dog-free, more quiet environment.  Both Elle and Rocco have been brought up-to-date on their vaccines.  We would very much like Elle and Rocco to be re-homed together. (BW)

Georgie

Breed:    Domestic Long Hair

Color:     Tabby and White

Gender:  Spayed Female

DOB:      ~6/2007

Georgie was rescued as a young adult living in a feral cat colony. Although she is reserved, she is definitely not feral.  She is sweet and affectionate at home but does not show that side of her personality at adoption events.  It will probably take Georgie a few days to settle into her new home.  She likes dogs and other cats and would be best in a calm home with adults. (BW)

Grier

Breed:    Domestic Short Hair

Color:     Torbie (Tabby and Tortie)

Gender:  Spayed Female

DOB:      3/2006

Grier is a real sweetie. If she thinks there is even a remote possibility that you are getting ready to rub her, she will arch her back in anticipation. She will also ask you politely for attention if she feels she is being ignored. She likes to be held and loved on and loves to play with her furry toy mouse. (JP)

Jack

Breed:    Domestic Short Hair

Color:     Black and White

Gender:  Neutered Male

DOB:      ~5/2009

Jack was rescued as a stray kitten.  He is shy but is coming out of his shell.  You can tell that he wants love and human attention but doesn't yet know how to ask for it.  He would make a nice addition to a quiet household.   (LK)

Jada

Breed:    Domestic Short Hair

Color:     Dark Tortie

Gender:  Spayed Female

DOB:      4/2010

Jada is a sweet, playful and intelligent kitten whose brothers and sisters have all been adopted. She can be the diva in her picture but also toss off her bow and play her little heart out!  Jada gets along well with other cats and loves to snuggle with humans.  She would make a fantastic addition to most homes.  (TF)

Jamaica

Breed:    Domestic Short Hair

Color:     Black

Gender:  Spayed Female

DOB:      ~2008-2009

Jamaica is an extremely affectionate and loving cat. She was rescued from the unfortunate situation of being very pregnant in a rural shelter. She went on to be a doting momma to three kittens -- watching over them constantly and running to them if they made any sound.  Jamaica could be upset when she saw a dog but was merely protecting her kittens.  Therefore, we feel she would be fine with calm dogs.  She is also fine with other cats and LOVES people - both children and adults. In her next home, Jamaica would love to be a lap cat. (LK)

Jasper  ADOPTED

Breed:    Domestic Short Hair

Color:     Grey Tabby

Gender:  Neutered Male

DOB:      ~6/3/2010

I am Jasper and my foster Mommy just woke me up for this picture so I look a little "dopey".  I am a sweet little boy and I love people and other cats...I even love dogs!  I love to play with the dogs who live with my foster family.  We sniff and chase around the house and I like to try to "tag" their tails, they do not mind much, they both love kitties!  Everyday I have a routine...I like to eat, then I have my play time with my siblings Mandarin, Shady and Alice, then I look for a human to give my some love and cuddles.  I can usually be found sleeping on the cat tree in my foster home or on the "cat stool" my foster mommy keeps just for us!   When I wake up I start my routine all over again.  I am very healthy and am ready to be someone's best friend forever! (CW)

Kallie

Breed:    Domestic Short Hair

Color:     Calico

Gender:  Spayed Female

DOB:      ~9/2007

Kallie is a very sweet, lovable and curious  girl.  She may be a little reserved until she gets accustomed to her surroundings, A low- to mid-energy household would be the best home for Kallie although she likes other cats and children.  One thing's for sure, like most calicos, this girl knows how to work a camera!!  (JP)

Kate

Breed:    Domestic Short Hair

Color:     Tortie

Gender:  Spayed Female

DOB:      4/2010

Like her sister, Rochelle, little Miss Kate is playful and loving but just a tad more reserved.  She does well with dogs, other cats and kittens and children.  Her picture makes her look grumpy but she's anything but -- she's all kitten.  If you give her a loving home, she promises she won't wake you up in the morning with a face like this! (LK)

Keaton

Breed:    Domestic Short Hair

Color:     Black

Gender:  Neutered Male

DOB:      3/2010

What's black and sleek and incredibly soft all over?  Why it's Keaton!  This little boy is very playful and enjoys his turbo track toy the best.  He's loving and affectionate without being too needy - just content to have your company.  He does great with other cats, kittens and dogs making him a perfect fit for most households.  His momma was just adopted and it's his turn to find his own, forever home! (BW)

Mandarin

Breed:    Domestic Short Hair

Color:     Light Orange Tabby

Gender:  Neutered Male

DOB:      ~6/3/2010

Hello, I am Mandarin. I was rescued with my littermates Shady, Jasper, and Alice when I was three weeks old. I love to play with my brothers and sisters and the older cats who live with my foster family. I have also been living with two big dogs, so I am used to barking, but I am still not sure I want to associate with canines, I ignore them mostly so I will be just fine in a home with dogs. I love to cuddle and get belly scratches. I adore toys (my favorite is the laser pointer) I can be a little shy with strangers but my curiosity usually brings me out of my shell. My human brother and sister have lots of friends who come over and play with us so I am used to children too. I am healthy, happy, and ready for my forever home.  (CW)

Mattie

Breed:    Domestic Short Hair

Color:     Tortie

Gender:  Spayed Female

DOB:      ~6/2004

Mattie -- a/k/a Super Momma -- was left behind by her owners when they moved away.  She was left with 2 adolescent kittens from her first litter and 4 three-week old kittens from her second litter.  She takes no grief from anyone!!  Mattie is sweet and affectionate but does not care to be bothered when she is "meditating".  She is certainly deserving of a forever home of her own!  (BW)

Maylee  ADOPTED

Breed:    Domestic Short Hair

Color:     Grey Tabby

Gender:  Spayed Female

DOB:      9/20/2009

Maylee came to Paw Prints when she was only 5 days old.  She is very fun and energetic!  She is not a needy kitty and she always finds something to entertain herself with after she exhausts her furry playmates and they are resting.  Maylee is a real princess and everything is on her terms, including cuddling.  However, when she gets down to serious cuddling, her purr motor shifts into high gear!  Her favorite things include playing with her dog and cat friends, sponge balls, watching wildlife through the window and computers.  (No, she's not part of the Kitty Geek Squad but she is nonetheless enthralled by them!)  She would love a forever home with other pets -- cats or dogs -- and would need time to adjust to small children.  (JM)

Phoenix

Breed:    Domestic Short Hair

Color:     Brown Tabby

Gender:  Neutered Male

DOB:      ~7/2007

When I was rescued, I had a little bit of a beer belly.  You know,,, a "spare tire".  I've been working on getting it off so that I can catch the eye of some of the stunning felines in my foster home.  My foster mommy says I'm a gentle soul.  I'm not sure what that means but I hope it involves a warm lap, a sunny window and a TV...  (LK)

Rhett

Breed:    Domestic Short Hair (Manx mix)

Color:     Orange Tabby

Gender:  Neutered Male

DOB:      10/2007

SPECIAL NEEDS

Rhett is a big love bug once he gets to know you.  He is very good-natured and inquisitive and will do well with children, calm dogs and other cats.  According to our veterinarians, his special need is typical of a Manx which is that he sometimes needs assistance keeping his hind end 100% clean.  In Rhett's case, the condition is not daily but comes and goes periodically.  His great personality more than makes up for the little extra effort and some baby wipes!  (JP)

Rocco

Breed:    Domestic Short Hair

Color:     Black

Gender:  Neutered Male

DOB:      2008

DECLAWED

Elle and Rocco came to Paw Prints after their owner became very ill and unable to care for them.  Rocco is a very sweet, lovable boy. He is very outgoing and affectionate and would make a great companion for anyone. He has been around other cats and small dogs and adapts very well.  Both Elle and Rocco have been brought up-to-date on their vaccines.  We would very much like Elle and Rocco to be re-homed together. (BW)

Rudolph

Breed:    Domestic Short Hair

Color:     Black

Gender:  Neutered Male

DOB:      ~1/2008

Rudolph was left behind when his family moved away. We don't understand why because he's an awesome cat!  He's affection and laid-back and will let you hold him like a baby.  He's naturally curious and likes to investigate everything!  He gets along with other cats and calm dogs.  Please consider giving Rudy the forever home he deserves. (LK)

Sasquatch  ADOPTED

Breed:    Domestic Long Hair

Color:     Brown Tabby

Gender:  Neutered Male

DOB:      ~2/1/2009

Sasquatch's name doesn't fit his personality.  He is definitely not a monster!  He will reach up, standing on his hind legs and beg you to pick him up, cradle him, sling him over your shoulder, love on him without end.  He’s like a dog -- he'll will follow you around -- enjoying your company.  Sasquatch loves to nap on your lap.  He gets along with other cats and tolerates well-behaved dogs.  We believe Shadow and Sasquatch are brothers although they do not need to be adopted together.  (RM)

Serena  ADOPTED

Breed:    Domestic Short Hair

Color:     Calico

Gender:  Spayed Female

DOB:      ~5/2009

Serena is a beautiful, young momma cat that was pulled from a local shelter with her babies.  She was a great momma -- easy going, attentive and calm.  Her babies have found homes and now it's Serena's turn for a place to call home.  She is very playful and affectionate with people and children and has been spotted lounging on her back, completely content, making biscuits in the air!  (RM)

Shadow

Breed:    Domestic Long Hair

Color:     Grey

Gender:  Neutered Male

DOB:      ~2/1/2009

Shadow is a very sweet, handsome boy!  He's a little shy at first, but very affectionate after a short period of time (minutes,,, not days).  He loves one-on-one attention.  Shadow enjoys all types of toys from feathers to crinkle balls and everything in between!  He gets along with other cats and tolerates well-behaved dogs.  We believe Shadow and Sasquatch are brothers although they do not need to be adopted together.  (RM)

Shady  ADOPTED

Breed:    Domestic Short Hair

Color:     Dilute Tortie

Gender:  Spayed Female

DOB:      ~6/3/2010

I am Shady. I love to play with my brothers Jasper and Mandarin and my little sister Alice. I am a friendly little girl who has lots of kisses and cuddles for my foster mommy every day. I was the first of my litter to come out to see my foster mommy and I am always the first to come out at mealtime! I have lived in a house with other cats and dogs and human children and I love everybody I meet. I have a beautiful grey coat with other colors swirling through. My coat is extra soft and I like it because it makes my humans want to cuddle me longer! I also love to play and will find things to play with if my toys can't be found. If you are looking for a "cuddle baby" who also like to play, you have found her.  (CW)

Siamie

Breed:    Siamese Mix

Color:     Pointed Cream (Blue eyes)

Gender:  Neutered Male

DOB:      ~10/2003

Siamie was rescued from a feral cat colony but is very sweet and friendly.  He is missing part of one ear due to severe ear parasites when he was living in the colony.  He has been treated by a veterinarian and is doing fine. He just looks a little "different" than most cats.  Siamie thinks that it's as cool as a tattoo or piercing!  (JP)

Slater

Breed:    Domestic Short Hair

Color:     Brown Tabby

Gender:  Neutered Male

DOB:      2/1/2008

Slater is Echo's brother.  They are both very sweet, playful and inquisitive -- 100% romping and playful boys!  They both get along great with other cats and dogs.  Echo and Slater do not need to be adopted together and both would make a wonderful addition to most homes.  (RM)

Taylor  ADOPTED

Breed:    Domestic Short Hair

Color:     Orange Tabby and White

Gender:  Neutered Male

DOB:      ~7/2009

Taylor is an outgoing, playful cat.  If there's something happening, he's right on the scene!  Although active, he also knows when it's time to "chill".  He gets along with dogs and other cats.  His favorite things are sitting on the screen porch of his foster home, playing with paper bags on the floor and going to town on his scratching post.  Taylor would make a fantastic addition to most households.   (RM)
