Adopting A Pet From Paw Prints Animal Rescue

 

Choose a pet available for adoption on our Cats & Kittens or Dogs & Puppies pages online or meet our adoptable pets at one of our Adoption Events. 

Complete an Adoption Application:

Your application will be reviewed by an experienced adoption counselor and/or the foster home to determine whether the temperament of the pet you are looking to adopt is a suitable match for your household and lifestyle (e.g. shy cats might not do well in households with small children or frisky dogs, etc.).  If you haven't already done so, we will require that you and the key household members meet and interact with the pet you are seeking to adopt.

Once all parties are in agreement that we have a match, you will be asked to sign an Adoption Agreement.  To help offset the cost of providing daily and veterinary care to our foster animals (food, litter, toys, treats, testing, sterilization, vaccinations, parasite control, medications, etc.) Paw Prints charges an adoption fee of $95 for a tested, sterilized and vaccinated cat/kitten; $125 for a tested, sterilized and vaccinated dog/puppy; $140 for a tested, sterilized, vaccinated and micro-chipped dog/puppy.

Young Puppy Policy - Although Paw Prints does not adopt out unsterilized, unvaccinated cats or kittens, it understands that some adopters may feel there are certain benefits to getting a puppy situated into its new home as young as possible.  Therefore, with an additional payment of $100, Paw Prints will allow healthy puppies in its program -- still too young to be sterilized and rabies vaccinated -- to be adopted pending surgery/vaccination.  If the adopter chooses this route and has the puppy sterilized by their own veterinarian, Paw Prints will promptly refund the $100 fee upon receipt of proof that the puppy has been sterilized.  If the adopter chooses to have the puppy sterilized by a veterinarian working with Paw Prints, Paw Prints will use the $100 to cover the cost of the surgery and rabies vaccination.

Paw Prints prefers payment in the form of cash or check at the time of adoption.  However, we now have the ability of receiving adoption fee payments online via PayPal which allows adopters to utilize a credit card.  Paw Prints will need to confirm receipt of payment prior to the adopted pet going home.  Please check the appropriate link below:
